The LemTec™ Gas Cover System is comprised of a custom-engineered, rigid, durable geo membrane cover that isolates liquid in lagoons and tanks from ambient air, allowing no diffusion of odor vapors, and a piping system to draw off gas produced under the cover using negative pressure. An LET gas cover can be paired with a LemTec™ Modular Insulated Cover System for heat retention to maintain optimal digester performance or for additional protection of gas collection from ice, debris, and UV. Access ports can be designed into the system for equipment maintenance and sampling, and the cover itself is easy to remove for tank or lagoon maintenance.
Each LET wastewater treatment process and technology, including the LemTec™ Gas Cover System, is custom designed with our Advanced Integrated Lagoon Technologies (AILT) approach. The AILT approach allows us to integrate cutting edge technologies, such as our gas containment and collection covers in combination with over 30 years’ proven experience to deliver guaranteed results that meet each of our clients’ unique needs.
Delivering a complete solution that our customers can trust, LET’s LemTec™ Gas Cover System is an effective solution that meets the needs of our customers in a wide range of industrial applications including poultry, fruit and vegetable processing, wineries, dairies, feedlots, pulp/paper processing and more. Because each LemTec™ Gas Cover System is designed and sized to handle the biogas generated for each individual LET client, the potential for cover ballooning and physical stresses on the geo membrane is greatly reduced. When designing our customized gas containment and collection system, LET engineers analyze the heat loss to determine ideal insulation and take into account factors such as extreme water level fluctuations and penetrations for mixing equipment to successfully and comprehensively meet our clients’ objectives.
The design of each custom-engineered LemTec™ Gas Cover System is based on our clients’ specific containment and collection objectives whether in new or existing ponds, steel tanks or concrete tanks. High strength wastes can have adverse effects on certain types of materials. Because of this, proper and compatible geo membranes are selected specific to the application and particular needs of each LET Gas Cover System customer. Each high-performance LET design accounts for parameters including extreme water fluctuations within a basin or tank, penetrations for mixing equipment or maintenance, and service requirements of the digester itself, delivering years of high performance and virtually maintenance-free operations.
In addition to solving many common problems associated with industrial and agricultural waste, our gas cover system allows LET customers to reap the environmental and financial benefits of using methane as an economical renewable energy source. Biogas utilization as an eco-friendly alternative energy qualifies for Emission Trading Credits, maximizing the ways that our system offsets energy costs and positively impacts our customers’ bottom line. The LET gas cover system consistently achieves high performance levels with virtually maintenance-free operations as an unrivaled and innovative technology our customers can count on.
LET is committed to continuously advancing wastewater treatment processes and related technologies, including the LemTec™ Gas Cover System. We do this by continuously improving and expanding upon our treatment designs and service offerings. Our “Circle of Innovation” philosophy ensures that the needs of our clients are met efficiently, effectively and cost-consciously as we work together with our municipal and industrial clients, protecting water resources now and for future generations.
“Lemna’s cover and staff have provided performance as promised. Anytime we’ve had questions related to technical support, LET has been prompt in their response. I can safely state that maintenance on our cover has been virtually non-existent, and I highly recommend LET for anyone considering them for a cover or liner.”
